MESSAGE FROM THE PRESIDENT
Welcome on the website of the Puglia Center of America!
I am Luciano Lamonarca and it is a great honor for me to serve as president of this organization.
The Puglia Center of America was born with the idea to promote the region of Puglia in all aspects, especially through cultural, educational and touristic exchanges between the region of Puglia in Italy and the United States of America. Our goal is to organize events of artistic nature that will serve to support the United Nations Millennium Development Goals, various missionary projects centered on noble causes, especially those fighting against cancer.
Through Internet, social networking and all modern technologies of building bridges among societies, the Puglia Center of America is committed to establish contacts inside the American and international community, making the region of Puglia a familiar name.
The Puglia Center of America is an organization that will invest contributions, sponsorships and donations from governmental institutions or private sector in the creation of ways and methods to offer visibility to the region of Puglia at international level, thus increasing tourism data and investments. We will work especially hard to offer the Pugliesi artists possibilities to perform or organizational assistance to prepare their performances in the United States.
In parallel, it is our goal to familiarize the people of the United States of America with the beauty of Puglia, proposing events and travels for leisure or for studying the Italian language in the sunniest region of Italy.
In the business field, we offer important opportunities for companies wishing to export their Pugliesi products within the United States of America. They will be supported not only during their first approaches to U.S. buyers, but also they can benefit of events specially organized and tailored to provide maximum visibility above other regional products.
In the artistic field, we will work towards creating a solid bridge between the United States and the region of Puglia with regards to collaborations among great musical institutions like The Julliard School and the Manhattan School of Music and Pugliesi musicians and artistic authorities.
